Accomplishments - 2006
January 2006- The Foundation participates in the national Children's Day celebration at Thara Park in Krabi Town. All the foundation children meet to join with the residents of Krabi Town, participating in numerous programs which include song and dance shows, painting and arts exhibits and games and activities for the children. The Foundation provides breakfast and lunch for some 250 children, sponsoring numerous activities in conjunction with the Municipality of Krabi. Over 5000 people attend the festivities that day.
| January 2006 |
The first of the years monthly Foundation Days are held by the Foundation, where all the children and families reunite. A free medical clinic is provided, learning programs organized by the Krabi Board of Education, free beauty and skin care, arts and crafts classes and distribution of financial aid. |
| March 2006 |
The Foundation is now supporting 101 children until age 18. |
| April 2006 |
Formal plans are produced for the construction of the Krabi Community
Center to house the Foundation medical clinic, library, computer room,
learning center, occupational training center and elder center.

| June 2006 |
With a generous donation from the Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort, the
Tsunami Child Sponsorship Booklet is produced. Khun Witoon Pinpimai
Head of Human Resources for the Resort joins the Foundation Board of
Directors.

| July 2006 |
The Foundation receives 501 c (3) tax exempt status in the United States and
Canada through Give 2 Asia, supplementing our existing tax free status with
CAF America
|
| August 2006 |
Robert Reynolds, Foundation Director completes a round the world fund
Raising trip to raise money for the Foundation and Krabi Community
Center.

| September 2006 |
The Foundation staff move into the offices donated by Khun Chuan
Phukaoluan, Foundation President, to be used until the Krabi Community
Center is complete.
|
| November 2006 |
The Foundation clothing drive is successfully completed as local Krabi
hotels donate towels, sheets, toiletries, blankets and clothes. Each family
receives a package containing all the above items.

| December 2006 |
The Starwood Group, owners of the Sheraton Hotels, make a
Commitment to sponsor 22 children until age 18. This US$ 110,000
donation is the largest single donation to date, and ensures the
success of the Tsunami Child Sponsorship Program.
